I got two questions. First, what is the source of the 0.03% of GDP in 2024, the net interest payments at all levels of government? Is it after considering the interest revenue going to the government? Second, the gross interest payment out of GDP must not be 0.15% but about 1.5% because Japan's nominal GDP is about 600 trillion yen.

the source is OECD at https://tinyurl.com/2vavu2b3. Yes,, as said, it's net, so does not included, for example, interest payments to the BOJ or interest payments to the government. MOF says gross interest payments in FY 2025 were budgeted to be Y10.5. Thanks for your interest. Please consider upgrading to a sub or buying a cup of coffee.
