A superb interview/discussion. As I am just now reading Ms. Schaede's book from 2020 on The Business Reinvention of Japan, I was wondering how she would react you your book, which paints a much more cautionary view of the current state of Japan's economy. And indeed she did challenge you repeatedly, but you held your own impressively. My own interest in both books lies in the ways they suggest things the American government should be doing here ... to stimulate more entrepreneurial activity (your book) , and to reorganize our industrial base to better create and apply the new technologies of advanced manufacturing (her book).
